Local News

In the last week, a rash number of fights have occurred at Blue Earth Area (BEA) School District.

Faribault County Chief Deputy Scott Adams says there were a total of five fights at the high school.

We investigated all of the incidences and are done with most of them,” says Adams. “Our findings and reports will be submitted to the County Attorney’s Office.”

BEA Superintendent Mandy Fletcher did not respond to a request for a comment.

Adams says 10 students were directly involved in the fights and the participants were male and female.

School officials reportedly have sent an email to parents of students in the district regarding the recent fights.

Tripleanews.com has learned one of the fights involved two male students in the library/media center throwing punches and then being separated by staff members.

Another fight involved two girls exchanging punches in a hallway and the third fight occurred in the lunchroom between two female students.
