Faribault County authorities are saying very little about a death they are calling a homicide.
The sheriff’s office received a 911 call around 11:46 p.m. on Friday that a body was found at a property in rural Wells.
According to a press release, an initial investigation has determined the person’s death was a homicide.
Chief Deputy Scott Adams would not comment on the victim’s gender, age or how they died.
“With all the people we have to interview and the leads we have to follow up on, we aren’t releasing any more information,” he says. “We have to notify family members. It’s a sad situation.”
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension {BCA) is assisting local authorities with the ongoing investigation.
“We pretty much have all our staff working on parts of this case,” says Adams.
Anyone who may have information regarding the incident should contact the Sheriff’s Office at (507) 526-5148.
