An accident involving a semi-truck and side dump trailer owned by Beemer Companies of Fairmont remains under investigation.
Faribault County deputies were dispatched around 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon to single semi-truck rollover on 240th Street west of 325th Avenue in Winnebago City Township.
According to authorities, 24-year-old Jonathan Michael Benny of Fairmont was traveling west on 240th Street when the semi-truck pulling a side dump trailer filled with rock/gravel went onto the shoulder.
Benny attempted to return to the road, according to authorities, but over corrected and caused the semi-truck and trailer to go into the ditch, strike a field approach and roll onto its left side.
When deputies arrived on the scene they discovered that Benny was able to get out of the truck cab by breaking out the rear window.
He suffered minor injuries and was transported by Winnebago Area Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont.
County authorities and the Commercial Vehicle Section of the Minnesota State Patrol are continuing their investigation. Also assisting at the scene were the Winnebago and Blue Earth fire departments.
